Susan Lucas

Twenty years ago, after Susan Lucas survived a major automobile accident, she realized that God was calling her to use her gifts to help others.

She began working at Ronald McDonald House with teminally ill children at a time when 70% of the patients died. In 1995 Susan was asked to be one of the founding members of the largest American Cancer Society fundraising events, the Cattle Baron's Ball, which over a period of ten years has rised nearly ten million dollars. The mortality rate at Ronald McDonald House has fallen to 30%.

Susan joined the staff at Sacred Heart in 2003. She believes that development is "the involvment of many individuals participating in our mission and our vision for the future. It will take the combined gifts and talents of many to take Sacred Heart where we want to go."
